Pextons Hardware has been serving the local community since 1933. The current owners Frankie and Johnny Hayes have spent the past 11 years developing the business into what it is today - "a treasure trove", "an Aladdin's cave"- whatever you like to call it - one thing's for sure - this is no ordinary hardware store - this is Bishy Road's very own award winning friendly local community hardware store. With the support of its customers, Pextons was recently awarded the prestigious title of Britain's Best Independant Hardware Retailer 2009-2010 by a leading trade journal. The friendly staff at Pextons always strive to provide a helpful service and nothing is too much trouble when it comes to unusual requests! Pextons is also wheelchair and buggy- friendly as it is level with the pavement.

Pextons has become known for its huge range of stock, including paint, timber, tools, door furniture, locks, nuts, bolts & screws, light bulbs & electrical, plumbing, curtain track, gardening tools & chemicals, pets corner, wild bird food. 

Housewares include door mats, ironing boards, airers, cleaning goods, stationery, haberdashery as well as Dylon Dyes at competitive prices. The cookware aisle is crammed full of quality gadgets, gizmos,  pans and bakeware supplied by the likes of Tala, Judge and Horwoods. 

Pextons also stocks a surprising range of fancy goods including retro style Tin Robots and cars, toys & gifts, candles and fragrance oils. Seasonal products include Christmas trees, sledges, snow shovels, rock salt, welly boots, gloves, electric heaters as well as fireside products such as companion sets, coal and kindling.  Summer products include paddling pools, door curtains and fans. Pextons also runs a busy key cutting service at competitive prices.  Pextons' Toolbank ordering service gives customers an even bigger choice of tools on offer with next day delivery!
