Opening times: Monday to Saturday, 9am to 3.30pm; Sunday 10am to 2.30pm

JD's is a traditional Cafe & Takeaway concentrating on good quality, value for money, home cooked meals and snacks. They have been awarded 4 stars for their food hygiene and preparation standards. The staff are warm and welcoming and the cafe is primarily run by the proprietor, Dawn and her qualified chef, Sam who has in excess of 35 years experience (he wouldn't go into specific detail about the amount of years!).

JD's prepare and cook all of their food 'in-house', roasting all of their joints of meat, making all their own quiches, pies, pastries, desserts and YES even the Yorkshire puddings and gravy are homemade! All the food is prepared and cooked by Sam – assisted by Dawn.

JD's pride themselves on buying as many products as they can locally, using M&K butchers for their meat and Fruitique for fresh vegetables and salad ingredients.

JD's have inside seating for 24 customers and an outside seating area too. They offer Takeaway service on everything from a 'bacon butty' to a full roast dinner.  JD's also pride themselves on flexibility – if it isn't on the menu then please ask, and if they have the ingredients, they’ll make it.

Sunday Lunch using the finest cuts of meat - for big appetites and only £6.50 (including tea/coffee or juice)

There is also an extensive standard menu served Monday to Saturday including jacket potatoes, salads, hot & cold sandwiches, omelettes, toasties and lite bites and much, much more.
