We’re a family-run business selling home-made, traditional Sicilian food and drink in a café with a contemporary ambience, and our customers receive a warm and friendly welcome so they can sit back, relax and enjoy quality food in true Sicilian style.
Trinacria is run by Beppe Lombardo, who has many years’ experience in catering both here in the UK and in Italy, and it is his passion to introduce York visitors and residents to the delicious cuisine from the island of Sicily. Trinacria’s head chef Gary Calpin has over 20 years’ experience working in Italian restaurants, and has come to Trinacria with an ambition to expand his knowledge and lead an excellent team. Finally, pastry chef Guiseppe Pugliares is a native of Sicily, producing magnificent cakes and sweet treats for your enjoyment.
Our daily menu offers a wide selection of traditional Sicilian dishes, handmade on the premises using high-quality local produce combined with quality Sicilian ingredients. We also produce a variety of different flavours of artisan ice cream, sorbet and frozen yogurt at our premises daily.
